Non-Thesis Option

StudentsThis option emphasizes coursework in the nutritional sciences that will provide students with exposure to theoretical aspects of research. Students who anticipate a professional career that emphasizes applied aspects of nutrition, rather than basic biological aspects of nutritional sciences, are most appropriate for this option. This path is also preferred by working professionals who are seeking advanced training in nutrition leading to an accredited degree, but who don't have the opportunity to devote a significant amount of time to a comprehensive research project that would be required to produce a thesis.

Degree Requirements

Students in this program will complete a minimum of 39 credits, and up to 8 credits of Dietetic Internship may apply. Upon admittance, the student will be assigned a faculty advisor. All master's students are required to present two formal seminars during their program.
